While academic programmes in business and economics at HKU date back to the 1940s, the HKU Business School (Faculty of Business and Economics) was founded in 2001 and has always endeavoured to become a leading and globally impactful institution in business and economics education.
The School now offers a full spectrum of undergraduate programmes, as well as a rich selection of graduate and Executive Education programmes. We are also building an iconic and state-of-the-art academic complex on campus, which will provide a wonderful environment that is conducive to the pursuit of academic excellence.
In recent years, the School has proactively scaled up its professorial capacity at all levels across the academic areas of: Accounting and Law, Economics, Finance, Innovation and Information Management, Management and Strategy, and Marketing. To realise our vision and achieve new heights, the School commits to further strengthening its efforts in attracting top talents from around the world. Specifically, we aim to recruit Ten Endowed Professors in any field of business and economics over the next few years. Candidates should have an outstanding track record of high-quality research and scholarship and have demonstrated excellent academic leadership.
