While academic programmes in business and economics at HKU date back to 1940s, the HKU Business School (Faculty of Business and Economics) was founded in 2001 and strives to become a leading and globally-impactful institution in business and economics education.
Now the School offers a full-spectrum of undergraduate programmes and an array of graduate education and Executive Education programmes. We are also building an iconic and state-of-the-art academic complex on campus, which will provide a wonderful environment conducive to the pursuit of academic excellence when it is completed.
In recent years, the School has been proactively scaling up its professoriate staff strength at all levels across the six academic areas, namely Accounting and Law, Economics, Finance, Innovation and Information Management, Management and Strategy, and Marketing. To realise our vision and achieve new heights, the School commits to further strengthening the efforts in attracting top talents from around the world. Specifically, we aim to recruit Ten Endowed Professors in any field of business and economics in the next few years. Candidates should have an outstanding track record of high-quality research and scholarship, and have demonstrated excellent academic leadership.
