Working closely with top management of Chinese developers, property analysts and media journalists, David shared his insights: “The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought about inevitable challenges to the property market. As the economy is suffering stronger downward pressure and people are expecting an income drop, the market is getting more complex. However, the Chinese mainland market is one of the most resilient in the region. Property sales of China’s largest developers have rebounded since March. Opportunities are starting to emerge”.

“Education is not a safety net. It is the rocket which will propel you towards success. All you have to do is have an aim, equip yourself and work on everything that takes to get a lift-off. If you always put limits on everything you do, it will be an obstacle in your pathway towards success. There are no limits to what you can accomplish. You must embrace the challenges and go beyond the limits. It takes dedication, determination and perseverance for you to achieve your ultimate goal. You have to overcome by first identifying the roadblock, then assess the situation, and look at your options to bypass it. Once you have conquered the challenge, you will become stronger and more resilient to future problems.” Terence said.

Being a successful female senior executive, she takes pride in her work and she shares the fruits of her accomplishments with people around her: “I love to sing, as it lifts my spirit and gives me more energy to cope with work. It also brings joy to others.”

Despite her busy schedule, Kate is dedicated to serving the community. As the Chairman of GF Federation, she and her volunteers distributed over 3,300 surgical masks to community members in need amid the Covid-19 outbreak. She has also been mentoring our students since 2014, and she hopes to “bring new perspectives to my student mentees, and help them prepare for their lifelong journeys”.

Leveraging his expertise as a Talent Acquisition Director, he has committed to spending some time every week with hospitality professionals impacted to discuss ideas around writing CV, finding Jobs and interview preparation. Having about two decades of leadership experience across both statutory and multinational organisations, he shared his thought about the recent crisis of COVID-19.

“The current challenge reminds me of the saying – ‘it’s not the strongest of the species, nor the most intelligent who can survive, but the one most responsive to change!’ If we are willing and have the capacity to change our normal assumptions and habits, we can thrive under the new normal.” He said, “Businesses need to be prepared for different scenarios under the new normal during and after the crisis. With solid PR & Marketing experience numbered among Star TV, Lan Kwai Fong Group and Occasions, Francis not only maintains a strong bond with most of the socialites and artists in town, he also stays close with all the chief editors from newspapers to magazines. In 2013, Francis launched his own venture NumberOne PR. Looking back on his 25-year PR journey, he faced numerous challenges yet managed to overcome them using innovative approaches and efficient communication.  “When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters. One represents ‘danger’ and the other represents ‘opportunity’.”, Francis shared.
