Academic researchers and industry practitioners interested in emerging markets are invited to register and attend. The registration fee for academics is USD$295 and for non-academics is USD$495. Doctoral Students
The conference will provide a partial travel subsidy for selected doctoral students attending the conference. Doctoral students should submit an application including a paragraph detailing their interest in the conference, their name, address, email address, and institution as well as a recommendation from their advisors outlining their potential interest in research on emerging markets. The program committee will select students based on its assessment of fit and interests of the student with the conference. Applications should be sent to ciip@yale.edu with “PhD Student Support Application” in the subject line of the email. The deadline for applications for support is March 15, 2024. Selected students will be notified by March 31, 2024. PhD students may submit a request for exemption from conference fees to ciip@yale.edu. Requests will be honored on a space-available basis.
Lodging
If you are traveling to Hong Kong, we recommend reserving a room at the Hotel JEN or Courtyard Hong Kong, located close to campus and a shuttle bus will be provided to connect you from campus to the conference venue. You may also consider reserving Le Méridien Cyberport Hotel, which is located close to the conference venue at the Cyberport Campus of the HKU Business School. Please make your reservation through the link inserted to enjoy the special rate offered to the conference participants. Your attention is drawn to the cancellation policy as there will be late cancellation penalty (full period for JEN and one night for Courtyard) after the cut-off date (4th June for JEN and 3rd May for Courtyard) while no amendments can be made upon confirmation for Le Méridien.
