Biography

Clara Shek, President of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Hong Kong, is one of the most trusted names in the industry. She has transformed Ogilvy PR Hong Kong into a powerhouse of industry accolades including Campaign Asia’s Hong Kong PR Agency of the Year for the past three years running. Passionate about shaping the way brands communicate, Clara has counselled leading global brands for 25+ years on corporate reputation, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, across sectors.

A PR Industry icon, Clara was named “Asia Pacific PR Agency Head of the Year 2024” by PR Awards Asia, Debrett’s 100 Most Influential Persons in Hong Kong (2015) and Distinguished Professional of the Year (2014) by Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals’ Association.

Clara believes PR and communications can change the world. She is a sought-after speaker at major conferences, advocating the power of integrated communications in building brands, growing reputation, winning customers, and addressing climate change and other societal problems. In 2023/24, she spoke at HKTDC’s Marketing Pulse and Hong Kong’s 8th Sustainability Forum.

Nurturing young talents and helping the community are close to Clara’s heart. Every year, Clara has spoken unfailingly at numerous university and industry forums and hosted visits for young talents aspiring to enter the PR industry. She currently serves on the boards and advisory committees of NGOs, public bodies and universities, applying her branding and communications expertise to create a positive impact on such issues as youth development, financial literacy, saving lives, building community resilience and conservation.
