Ms Sein Chew
Ms Sein Chew is the Founder-President of Unity Asset Management, a private global investment management company. She is also the President and CEO of UAM Hong Kong, the family investment and philanthropic office of the Chew-Souede family. Ms Chew has worked for Merrill Lynch and Bank of America in senior positions. She is a graduate of Oxford University, and a chartered accountant.
Ms Chew was the global President (2015-2016) of The International Women’s Forum. She is an Honorary Advisor to the New York based USA Chinese Women’s Federation and has served on the government appointed Financial Review Panel (inaugural) and the board of The Council for Early Childhood Education. She is a recipient of The Top 50 Asians in Business in USA Award, representing the state of New York. Ms Chew is an appointed member of the Oxford University China Advisory Group, a Foundation Fellow of St. Antony’s College, Oxford University and was inducted as a Distinguished Friend of Oxford University in 2015. She was named (together with Chief Secretary, Carrie Lam and others) as one of Hong Kong’s “most inspirational and influential women” by The South China Morning Post.
Ms Chew is active in development and women’s leadership activities in China and has initiated social economic projects in China jointly with the All China Women’s Federation (ACWF) and has led several delegations there, sponsored training seminars for women leaders and entrepreneurs and spoken at conferences around the world, including at the Fourth UN Conference on Women held in Beijing in 1995. She is one of the few women presented with the ACWF Goodwill award.
Ms Chew has lived and worked in Hong Kong for most of her adult life. She also has homes in New York and Beijing.
