Biography
John E Strickland GBS JP is currently Chairman of Octopus Holdings Ltd and of the Trustees of the University of Hong Kong Retirement Benefit Schemes; a Director of Esquel Holdings Inc and a Trustee of the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre. Previously he was Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and Cyberport Management Co Ltd; a Director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, the Mass Transit Railway Corporation and Integrated Distributed Services Group Ltd; a member of the Council of the University of Hong Kong, Airport Authority Hong Kong, the ICAC Operations Review Committee and the Financial Reporting Council. He also serves and has served a number of NGOs and other tertiary institutions.
