Dr. Guo is an Assistant Professor of Management at the HKU Business School. She obtained her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Prior to her Ph.D., she received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her research interests include leadership, emotions, feedback, and teams. Her research informs leaders and organizations on how to foster positive changes in people by unleashing their full potential at work. To that end, her primary stream of research examines the role emotions play in the leadership influence process that facilitates employee learning and creativity. Her secondary stream of research focuses on the sharing of leadership in teams.
